Describe your image
"From my time as a Tax and Trade Counsel in the U.S. Senate, to my work with state government's to develop complementary Opportunity Zones policy, I have delivered effective, bipartisan solutions. As the 6th District's next Representative I promise to work in good faith with my Democratic colleagues whenever possible. Bi-partisanship is not about compromising principles, but about coming to the table honestly to advance policies where principles and priorities overlap."
Issues

k-12 EDUCATION

Every child has the right to a good education, regardless of their zip code. We must give local districts the choice and funding they need to make the best decisions for themselves.

VOCATIONAL EDUCATION
We must remove the stigma and shine a positive light on vocational education so we can prepare Ohio's workforce for the future.
By emphasizing vocational education in the schools with inclusion of career certificates as part of high school education requirements, businesses will have an increased pool of skilled employees. Students will embrace greater choice in their career path.
JOBS

There are a number of problems that can be solved with a good job. Unfortunately Ohio is creating fewer jobs than many of our neighbors. We must reform Ohio's tax code to develop a culture of entrepreneurship and drive job creation. We must also ensure that entrepreneurs and small businesses are treated the same as large businesses.
ENERGY AND ENVIRONMENT
Ohio needs to assure an all of the above' energy solution, which includes nuclear, coal, oil, gas, wind, and solar. We should protect our natural resources including Lake Erie through personal stewardship, business innovation, and fair treatment by government.
RESPECTING THE SANCTITY OF LIFE
The Ohio Department of Health’s most recent Abortion Report demonstrates that the number of abortions was 20,893. Far too high. I will support policies that reduce the number of abortions in our state.
SECOND AMENDMENT

The answer to curbing violence in our society is not to take away the rights of law-abiding gun owners, but to improve mental health services, and enforce and prosecute those who violate existing laws.
